Interested in learning a new language or two? I was introduced to Duolingo a couple of years ago, and have used it pretty much everyday as I work to get better at Spanish and Greek. check it out HERE!
STU ON THIS:
This may have been better suited for last week’s Stuesday, but it is worth bringing it to our attention this week as well. And here it is. What are you thankful for? It’s easy for us to simply leave thankfulness behind now that Thanksgiving is over. Not to mention the fact that many of us have already shifted our focus to the craziness of the Christmas seasons. But, imagine what good it could do for you and those around you if you started each day with a moment of reflection on at least one thing you are thankful for.
I recently heard the story that while Corrie Ten Boom and her sister were in the Ravensbruck concentration camp, Corrie Ten Boom’s sister began to thank God for the fleas that were infesting their barracks. Corrie Ten Boom didn’t understand why her sister would be thankful for the fleas, but she began to follow her sister’s lead, and thanked God for the fleas. It wasn’t long before they began to realize that the guards never visited their barracks, and it was all because of the fleas! Because of this, the women were free to host Bible studies in their barracks without any harassment coming form the guards, and many women came to know Christ.
It doesn’t take much time away from your day to think of one thing to be grateful for, even if that one thing is small and seems as insignificant as a flea. But, it could set the tone for the rest of your day, and impact the lives of those around you, by starting your day with an attitude of gratitude. So, again I ask, what are you grateful for?
Until next Stuesday,
Stuart McPherson
