On the cold, snowy night of March 5, 1770, a mob of American colonists gathers at the Customs House in Boston and begins taunting the British soldiers guarding the building. The protesters, who called themselves Patriots, were protesting the occupation of their city by British troops, who were sent to Boston in 1768 to enforce unpopular taxation measures passed by a British parliament that lacked American representation. Today is Super Tuesday. Many Americans, in certain States, are heading to the polls today to exercise their American right to vote for the candidate they hope will represent their political party come November during the Presidential election. It’s possible that the reality that another election season is upon us might leave you a little shell shocked, and on edge with memories of the 2020 election cycle rising to the surface.
